The Boonsborough Museum of History houses an extensive collection of firearms. Visitors can see an amazing variety – from tiny watch fob pistols to cannons weighing over a ton. Other rare firearms include a sharpshooter’s rifle from the Battle of Gettysburg and a cap-lock rifle ca. 1850. The collection also includes over 500 edged weapons from around the world, including a gauntlet sword inlaid with pure gold, an African witch doctor’s knives, and a beheading ax.
